I tend to thrive on that manic busy, but only for short bursts. It really is hard to do it all for any length of time. Great idea about thanking the people who do manage to be consistently supportive. I checked mine and I wasn’t surprised to see a couple overlaps — Kristy James and Marcy Kennedy! The support and love it fantastic! Awesome post, Jenny.

I usually keep myself over-the-top busy, because I’m hyper, heh. But the holiday season definitely kicks my butt. It’s not only the craziness of shopping, wrapping gifts, mailing, planning Christmas menu, cleaning the house, helping with my kids’ school stuff, but on top of it there is writing two books simultaneously (screams) and promoting my published work. Thank God for my writers and bloggers buddies! I couldn’t do it without them!

Happy Tuesday my busy, busy friend! I’m actually trying to take some time each day to just appreciate my family, all that I have, and enjoy the holiday season. Today I’m taking Birthday Girl out for some shopping and lunch, then I might bake some cookies. That huge patch of editing I need to get done? It can wait until the morning. My daughter is more important than any of my books.

Thanks so much for the shout out, Jenny! I sure hope things settle down so you can relax and enjoy the holidays a little more. I’d intended to cut back on some stuff this week, but then it hit me when I got up today that I need to start composing new Chinese proverbs. I was thinking something along the lines of, “When boyfriend of number 2 daughter call and let phone ring 50 time, waking mother up 4 hour after she fall asleep, air horn promise deaf in 1 ear next time it happen.”
Do you think I have a future in Chinese proverb writing? Or maybe greeting cards… 😉

Enjoy the moments, Jenny. we never know what our children are going to remember and value as they grow older (truly one of the surprises of my life ). We do our best and know that they will retain some things. I’m doing the same thing with my granddaughters right now – creating memories for us for the future.
