Hopefully all the readers here at More Cowbell know how much I appreciate them ~ y’all are my posse and you brighten my day. Today I wanted to send out a huge THANK YOU.
It’s a pretty rare thing to see a Wednesday post from me but I’m starting this new feature where every so often I do a shout-out to those of you that have taken the time to be the top commenters here. (WordPress tells me these things…it’s AMAZING.)
Currently, this list of stellar peeps includes:
K.B. Owen | ||
Zack Kullis | ||
Pauline Baird Jones | ||
Renée A. Schuls-Jacobson | ||
Julie Glover | ||
Natalie Hartford |
I keep up with them and I think you should too. These people take time to have some seriously groovy discussions and they all make me laugh, and think, depending on the day. I could say that about a bunch of you, but these were the six that WordPress highlighted today.
Click their names to see an amazing recent post of theirs.
Follow them on Twitter.
Find them on Facebook.
I promise you’ll be glad you did. I know I am.
Many, many thanks to all of you who make this blog so fun. You’re the ones who keep me coming back for MORE COWBELL. 🙂
Jenny
Jenny, wowzers, I’m getting a little verklempt here…BIG-TIME thanks for the fab shout-out! I’m honored to be part of such a wonderful group of peeps. I didn’t know WordPress did that kind of analysis. Of course, our uber-techy Jenny is all over it, LOL. Cool beans!
Can I just say (and I know everyone else will agree on this) that it’s your personality, quality of writing, generosity, and oh-so-welcoming atmosphere that draws us in? Think about it: 40+ comments on a Sunday blog post about coffee mugs? Seriously, who else draws that kind of response? 😀
Hope you all have a great week,
Kathy

Haha, Zack, it was definitely SNL, but it was “Coffee Talk” rather than “Church Lady” – here’s a clip for fun! (FYI – totally blog-jacking Jenny now): http://youtu.be/PDXEgBh0TF0

LOL I’ve been served! You are right. How can I get my SNL skits confused? It would have been a little more forgiveable if it had been one of the more vague skits from the Dr. Demento Show… (remember that show?)

You know I LOVE a good blogjack. I totally paid that forward on Nat’s Bathtub Jesus blog today. I TROMPED through her comments section… LOL.

My dearest Kathy… I can’t count how many times I’ve been having a nuts/crappy/killer day and you’ve kept the conversation going over here. Thank you for your time and generosity of spirit!
Oh, and this Top Commenter thing is down in the lower right side of my “all stats” window, just below the links that people clicked on for the day. 🙂

Oh, never mind.
DITTO what Kathy said. It’s your voice and your snark that bring your Cowbell Posse running each time More Cowbell rings in my inbox.
Thanks for the links. I already follow some of these, but this is going into my Nifty News folder for access after I finish my self-imposed write-a-thon count for the day.

Jenny, you do a great job with the blog, and it is a reflection of you personally. It’s kind of like something that my grandfather used to say. “The apple never falls too far from the tree.”
Thank you for including me in that list. I feel like a small fish in a big pond when I look at the other peeps in this group.
Please keep writing and posting the wonderful things you do, and we will continue to follow.
Love what you do.
Zack…

I have a half-written reader appreciation post on my computer right now. Great minds think alike 🙂 (Mine won’t go out until October though when I go back to three posts a week.)
You managed to list some of the kindest people on the Internet, and everyone you’ve named deserves to be recognized.

I suspect there will be more in my future. One of my books used to be called Pig in a Park and I still get pig gifts all the time. I need to reblog about my pigs. I once collected all of them and took a picture, but they’ve grown since then. LOL!

Good gravy! Every time I see a list like that, there’s someone on it that makes me think, “Why am I not already following him/her?!!!” I need more hours in the day to read blog posts because there are some truly awesome ones that I miss. Thanks so much for including me in this bunch. (I feel especially blessed to be in the company of Kathy Owen, who uses a word like “verklempt” so handily and casually.) It’s always my pleasure to come here and shake my cowbell.
Have a fab week, all! Love ya, Jenny.

This is a lovely idea Jenny! Thank you for pointing these peeps out cause I don’t know Zack Kullis, or Pauline Barid Jones or Renee A. Schols-Jacobson. (Okay, a couple of these people must have shortened their name in order to fit on Twitter. LOL!) But I’m off to check them out and make sure I’m following them. We definitely need More Cowbell! I believe your posse is increasing leaps and bounds! 🙂

Sweet Karen! I can’t believe you’ve never met Renee – she’s who I met first, via Clay Morgan and Kristen Lamb’s blogs. Renee is heaped in fairy dust and glitter.
I put these 6 up because WordPress told me too AND (a) they earned it and (b) they deserve many follows. 🙂

I’ve been following the comments all day and into the next and just so thrilled to have made your list and thank you for your kind words! I’m learning so much from the posse and having a great time doing it. I wrestled with the “where I’m from” blog post yesterday. I’ll revisit it in a couple of days, but have it planned to go live on the 17th. It was both lovely and hard. So many memories. Thank you for bringing it to your blog!
