Sunday #ROW80 Check-in

We’re gearing up for the big One Year Blogoversary here at More Cowbell. I’ve got some rip-roaring to do and I’m looking for ideas!! Find more details here.

The other big piece of excitement is that I’ve worked out how to get myself to DFWCon this year – I’ve got a place to stay and I’m using the frequent flyer miles. Who all is going to that conference? (Are you as over the moon about it as I am??)

ROW80 Update

Besides keeping up on blogging, the biggest news for me is that I’m laying the groundwork to start teaching in two new places ONLINE. This is wildly exciting because I’d get 4-6 hours of driving/time back each week if I worked from home. As much as I love my accountants, I’d sure love to get that time back to use on something more productive than driving!

I want to thank all of you that take the time to visit with me each Sunday. I’ve so enjoyed being a sponsor this round! Speaking of which…if you want to cheer on your ROW80 teammates, click here.

We’re coming to the end of this round and, while I haven’t gotten the word count under my belt that I’d like, I’ve gotten SO much done toward my writing career that it boggles me.

I’m ready to PARTY in between rounds…who’s hosting the “Rock the ROW” Party this time?? Nicole Basaraba and I did it last time. Details here!

Rock the ROW sounds fun. Nearing the end of my first ever round 😦 But yeah, I’d like a break (though have too much to do so cannot take a break as such, I”ll be glad of not having to check in twice a week 🙂 Congrats on getting ONLINE teaching sorted and on getting to go to the conference. I live in Dubai where no such events really occur 😦 But I’m probably to shy to attend if they did 🙂 X Hope you enjoy the celebrations for 1 yr of blogging. Should have done something like that myself. I’m around 1.5 yrs on WordsinSync now, but only a few months on my author blog (the one I use for Row80). Might do it for that one – Be great to celebrate with a novel doing well or something. *sigh* 🙂 X

Shah, there are many online avenues now – I’ve heard of conferences that are online. I know it’s not the same, but if you live far from where these might occur, it might keep you revved up and let you connect with people who can buy your book. Have you checked?

  4. It still boggles my glob B-L-O-G stat-envy mind that MORE COWBELL has been around for only a year. You even earned your own hash-tag. #morecowbell! How cool is that?

When I began my blog, I thought, “I’ll study Jenny Hansen. She ROCKS. She must be a veteran blogger.” I had no clue your words of snort-and-wisdom came from a relative newbie. You’re that good.

[Cue: This is where you rub the toe of your sneaker in the ground and do one of those “aw, shucks” things.]

Now for the question I have to ask, despite your anticipated “can’t say yet” response. where are you going to be holding your on-line classes? If this were a game of Wheel of Fortune, would I still be spinning the wheel if I asked for a W and an L?

You’d still be spinning that wheel, Gloria! But that’s a great idea. 🙂

And thank you for those compliments, I am blushing. And I did blog off and on for two years at other group blogs so there was SOME ramp-up time…which I highly recommend.

Your round looks very successful. I”m excited to see who wins your contest and what you have going on the first week of April. What is the non driving writing job you landed? Curious.

I’ve been working part-time as a training coordinator for an accounting firm, Ali. I’m looking to start transitioning to teaching online, focusing primarily on writers. Totally excited with the direction that’s taking. 🙂
