Hello, all you amazing members of Team ROW80! I am impressed with this bunch o’ scriveners who’ve been writing their guts out for 79 days now. One more day to go!
Now I’ll confess, it’s been all work and holidays all the time here at the Hansen House. Baby Girl’s stocking is filled and ready to go and we’ve wrapped up at least three empty boxes for her to play with (because boxes and rocks are what toddlers love best)!
I’m looking forward to 2012’s Round 1 for many reasons:
- January is nearly always a very big writing month for me.
- April 1, 2012 will be the ONE YEAR anniversary of this blog and I’m already planning about how to celebrate in Cowbellicious style. π
- I plan to finish my pregnancy memoir in 2012 and get back to my fiction.
- I have some really exciting classes and conferences coming up in 2012.
- Last but not least, I’m sponsoring the next round of ROW80, which is something I’ve never done before. (Can’t wait!!)

Are you with me, riding the Slacker Train into the holiday sunset, or are you finishing strong? Will you be joining the rest of the gang in January for Round 1 of 2012? What goals are exciting you the most as you go into the New Year? Enquiring minds always want to know here at More Cowbell!
Jenny
Im with you on the slacker train for this final check-in! A poorly kitty is my excuse this time, lol but at least I have the launch of the Children’s Book to make my final check-in more interesting than just saying what I haven’t done! π See you in 2012 for the next ROW80!

Oh Sharon, I’m sooo sorry to hear about your kitty! But I’m delighted for you that your Children’s book is ready to launch – that is a HUGE accomplishment. I look forward to “Rockin’ the ROW” with you in January. π

I am with you on the slacker train! I sign up for way too much crap. And,.. I am a slacker! But, along with my other 27 resolutions, I will be hopping back on the ROW 80 train in January 2012.
See you next year! π

I read this post at work yesterday and it sounds like you need it, Darlene. Enjoy (and stop signing on for so much crap)!

Boxes and rocks – LOVE THAT!
Woot woot – I am heavy on the slacker train as finishing up work and Xmas has totally taken over. Add to that my step-son moved out of the house and one of my BFFs in transition is moving in which meant a mass cleaning I had not planned for. Excuses excuses…it all boils down to the same thing…no words on the page. But I am ok with that. I didn’t finish strong and I didn’t accomplish nearly what I had wanted to and planned to but…I learned a ton and realized where I went “not quite right” on my planning so I’ll do much better next time…
April 1 is a one year anniversary…eeeeekkkeee…I can’t WAIT to celebrate with you!
Happy holidays to you and yours…may they be filled with healthy, joy, peace, and love…here’s to a deliciously amazing 2012 ahead – looks like a lot of wow-factor on the horizon for you darlin’! Love it!
HUGS!!!!!!!!!!

I was pleasantly surprised at how many of my goals I met this year, due to frequent slacker train pile ups. It makes me wonder what I can do without those frequent moments, at least if they’re a little less frequent. I’m having to push to make a deadline by the end of the year, otherwise I would be jumping on the holiday slacker train this week. Boy do I want to! Glad Sherry introduced me over here, I’m enjoying your blog tremendously and look forward to the New Year and new blogs! Merry Christmas!

Jessica, that is wonderful…what a fantastic thing to look back and see goals achieved. I feel exactly the same way (including those slacker train pile ups)!
Thanks for the compliment…you know I treasure it. And I’m rubbing my hands with glee over some upcoming fun posts. π

I’m finishing the writing aspect on a whimper π I’ve done nothing all December…yet another reason NaNo isn’t good for me, that race to the finish left me brain dead. Definitely in for Round One 2012. Aw, our blogs are the same age.
Have a wonderful holiday Jenny!

It’s still brite & shiny, because nothing’s happened yet to screw it up. I love that.

I’m riding the Slacker Train to the end. I think I’m worn out from querying, Christmas, and a round of the flu. I’m looking forward to diving into the next round, though. It’s time for a new year and a new start.
Have a great holiday!

Thanks, Gene! And good to know about the wrapping paper. I was going to try to keep that away from her, but I’ll embrace it thanks to your recommendation. I’m really excited about sponsordom (great word). Thanks for all you do to encourage the rest of us…you are just a ROCKSTAR.

Yeah, I’m sponsoring for the first time in 2012 too! I logged more words in December than November for sure, but then someone mentioned something about Christmas and poof! there went my plans. Apparently, as the mom in the house, I’m supposed to do the decorations, send out the Christmas cards, and buy family presents. Yes, yes, I stay at home. But it’s to write, right? Alas, I want to make Santa Claus’s Nice list, so I put the WIPs down and got busy with the holidays instead. See you in January!

Your coming year sounds fabulous! My one year is January 16th. I’ll be having a party, too! I hope you’ll all join me!
I fell off the ROW80 wagon and off the Slacker Train. I had so much esle going on that I couldn’t hold it together. I may jump in at ROWnd 2, but I’m not ready for ROWnd 1. Have fun. Enjoy your holidays and good luck with all your goals, Jenny!

Ah, but you haven’t fallen off the Life List wagon, Marcia, so you’re still tracking those goals. π

I’m clapping for you, Jenny, because you rocked this round of ROW hard even through illness. I slid of the ROW train and then had it run over my calf and leave me muttering next to the tracks. My November work craziness just zapped me, my brain, and energy. After some much needed self rest and care, I wasnβt able to wander back on target. Like some others have said, Iβve taken time to reflect and see what worked and what I need to βget out of my wayβ on. Iβll definitely be back on board in January. Happy Holidays!!!

Woohoo!!! What an awesome ROW80 sponsor you will be – that’s a given! You have some serious boots to fill with the list of great sponsors before you but there’s no doubt you are more than up to the challenge. Those of us from Wana711 who didn’t join ROW80 have been on the sidelines with our pompoms waving like crazy, reading everyone’s updates and cheering our hearts out! (Barb M doing the choreography and Tameri in charge of those awesome jumps and flips!) We’ll be there again for the next round. I’m posting on your ROW80 link to let all the ROWers know how proud we are of all of them! ROW on in 2012!
